Timur Bekmambetov Punks The World

I just found out this morning that Timur Bekmambetov, Russian director of the upcoming film Wanted has punked the entire United States. You may have seen this video floating around the internet of an office person going berserk and destroying the office. It appeared on YouTube and tons of other sites, surveillance video as well as a cell phone version of the antics took the web by storm (view below)

These videos were even on FOX news THIS MORNING!!!! Well I just found out they are recent videos released by Timur as part of a viral marketing campaign for the film Wanted!

Timur's personal website where he revealed the news is located here.

I used BabelFish to get a loose translation, take a look at that here.

And finally, here is another website, translated as well, that loosely talks about what happened.

If you remember the trailers from earlier, you will remember a shot that takes place in an office in which James McAvoy's character flips out and hits someone with a keyboard.

One of the themes of this film seems to be about escaping your meaningless life and existence (office worker) for something greater (assassin). And I must say, Bekmambetove did a fine job of making us all aware of this.
